IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL ANTA MEMBERS - 2007
Professional
Indemnity Insurance
It is a
requirement of ANTA Membership that all practicing members must have
a current professional indemnity insurance policy of at least
$1m. cover. This is to ensure members and the public are protected
in the event of a claim. Failure to renew professional indemnity
insurance before the expiry date can leave members’ personal
assets exposed in the event of a claim.
It is also a requirement of Health Fund/WorkCover provider
recognition that all practitioners must have a current professional indemnity insurance policy of at least $1m. cover.
Members are reminded that Health Funds/WorkCover will not recognise
practitioners as providers if they do not hold current professional
indemnity insurance.
Most professional indemnity insurance policies are renewed between the
March – June period and this is a reminder to all ANTA Members to
ensure their professional insurance policy is renewed before it expires. ANTA
recommends Members check the expiry date on their policy now.
ANTA Members who insure through the ANTA facility at OAMPS Insurance
Brokers are not required to forward a copy of their renewal to ANTA
as this is done electronically between OAMPS and ANTA. Members who are not insured through OAMPS, must forward a copy of their
renewed policy to ANTA by fax, email or post before the expiry date. If you wish to obtain information regarding professional indemnity
insurance cover please contact Melissa Matthews at OAMPS on (03)
9412 1624 and advise you are making an inquiry as an ANTA Member. |

of first aid qualification renewals should be forwarded to ANTA before the expiry date shown on the prior qualification. ANTA

qualification now2007 Membership Fee Renewals. If
you have not renewed your 2007 ANTA membership, you should do so
immediately.

circumstances non-renewal can invalidate professional indemnity
insurance, may affect your GST free status, result in removal from ANTA practitioner referral listings/website, loss of Health Fund/WorkCover recognition and delisting from the register of
practitioners.
If you require assistance with any of the above please contact the
