The code of conduct has now been finalised and will commence on 1 August 2008.

The final code, at clause 17, contains a requirement that practitioners display a copy of the code and a notice approved by the Director General of NSW Health giving information about the way clients can make a complaint to the Health Care Complaints Commissions at the premises where the practitioner carries out his or her practice. 

The requirement to display the code and the notice will come into effect on 1 August 2008.
