On 17 June 2008, the South Australian Parliament passed some significant legislative amendments to the WorkCover Scheme. The amendments affect both the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1986 and the WorkCover Corporation Act 1994.

The download below is a booklet titled “The WorkCover Scheme: A guide to the changes”.  This guide outlines the changes to the WorkCover Scheme, and identifies when each change will come in to effect. The guide is intended as a summary only and has been structured to provide information to injured workers and employers, who are the primary stakeholders of the Scheme.  However, given that you are likely to have an interest in the changes you should also find this guide useful.  

If you are only interested in a small amount of detail about the changes you will find a two page summary (on pages 2 and 3 of the booklet).  However, if you are interested in further detail you might like to read the full booklet. 

WorkCover will be running health provider information sessions which will provide an overview of the changes.   

The first two information sessions will be held in the Theatrette, Commonwealth Centre, 55 Currie Street, Adelaide on:

• Tuesday 29th July, 7.00pm – 9.00pm
• Thursday 31st July, 7.00pm – 9.00pm
